1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using ScribNova ("the Service"), operated by ScribNova Publishing ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ScribNova is an AI-powered book writing platform that helps users create, design, and prepare books for publication. The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with outline generation, chapter writing, cover design, and related features. ScribNova is a tool to assist your creative process — the final content is your responsibility.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use the Service.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
ScribNova offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. You may cancel anytime through your account dashboard — access continues until the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. AI Credits & Usage
Each plan includes a monthly allocation of AI credits. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over unless your plan explicitly states otherwise. We may adjust credit allocations with reasonable notice.
6. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all content you create using ScribNova, including outlines, chapters, and book covers. We do not claim any rights to your content. You grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
7. AI-Generated Content
Content generated by AI through our Service is provided as a creative starting point. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy, originality, and appropriateness of all content before publication. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, biases, or similarities to existing works.
8. Publishing Services
ScribNova offers optional publishing preparation services as one-time purchases. These services assist with formatting and preparation — we do not guarantee acceptance by any publishing platform (Amazon KDP, Apple Books, etc.). You are responsible for compliance with each platform's terms and guidelines.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights; attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures; resell or redistribute the Service without authorization; use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage; generate spam, malware, or misleading content.
10. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, you should export your content — we may delete account data after a reasonable retention period.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
